The Chapel of the Cross is a historic Episcopal church located on Mannsdale Road in Madison County. Built between 1850 and 1852 in beautiful Gothic Revival style, this iconic brick church was originally commissioned by Margaret Johnstone in memory of her late husband and consecrated on September 19, 1852 by the first Episcopal Bishop of Mississippi.
